Introducing Hairdressers for Haiyan!! A Cut-a-Thon Fundraiser for the People of the Philippines.
A little over a year ago, with the help of dedicated hairdressers, salons around the Country & many amazing people, we raised over $30,000 for Hurricane Sandy relief in one whirlwind day at the Berkeley Carteret Hotel in Asbury Park. The beneficiaries of that fundraising effort was an organization called Hometown Heroes, a local Jersey Shore non-profit that exists for the sole purpose of aiding people in need, wherever and whenever they need it.
This year, we’re doing it again. As you know, the Philippines was devastated by a once-in-a-lifetime storm, Typhoon Haiyan. The destruction is unimaginable, even for those of us who experienced Sandy first-hand. It’s time for us to be Jersey Strong again, for the people of the Philippines.
What: Hairdressers for Haiyan (facebook event link)
When: 10-7, Sunday, January 19th, 2014.
Where: Salon Concrete
