It’s not too often we get to channel our inner Daisy Buchanan and celebrate in fun party wear. It’s also not too often we want to splurge on a dress or shoes for a one-night event. With New Year’s approaching, we thought we would raise our glasses to having fun in style and on a budget.
For this New Year’s Eve, we’ve made a few suggestions for your wardrobe, and ALL UNDER $130.
For hundreds of years, cultures from around the world have worn gold and silver on New Year’s Eve to hail fortune and prosperity with the calendrical turn. Superstition aside, it’s a great sartorial choice for a celebratory occasion. In keeping with “good fortune”, we didn’t go overboard with expensive pieces you might wear for only one night.
Our top dress pick is a metallic crochet dress($129 at Amazon).

The dress is done in a silver metallic yarn, it has a cap sleeve with black lining and slight fringe at the bottom hem. We love the bold statement of this dress, but even more so with it’s timeless appeal. The dress also is available in gold or silver.
Our other top outfit pick is a gold sequin jumpsuit ($92 at Revolve.com) It has an all-over sequin body with a V neck in front and back. At any party event, we love an elastic waist for breathing room after a meal and some drinks. If a dress isn’t your thing, we love this one-shoulder, metallic-black sequin top ($111 at Asos). It has a side-draping panel for that extra flair. Pair it with simple black trousers or even some jeans, and you will still make a strong impression at the party.

Every woman needs great accessories.
There are so many clutch options available in sequins, beads, and metallics. We have highlighted two which are fun and festive without too much seriousness. The clear acrylic case with floating sequins is our top pick ($24 at walmart). Our other pick is a striped sequin, chain-handle bucket bag ($30 at Express.com). Both bags are festive enough for the night, but can be taken out any night throughout the year. When it comes to shoes, we wanted something practical but still New Year’s Eve worthy. We love this block heeled pump in metallic brocade ($100 at Nordstrom). It can be paired easily with any color our outfit.
Finishing off the accessories, this super cute Happy New Year headband with feathers ($10 at ae.com) is a great way to celebrate if you aren’t getting all dressed up.

If you decide to use any of these suggestions, please take a picture or two. We would love to see you on our Instagram feed!
Enjoy the holidays and have a safe, happy and healthy New Year.
